2025 Summer program

Overall Program

🌞 Program Overview

Our summer program features 8 evening sessions in Summit, with a format that balances skill development, playing with friends, and a big dose of FUN. Players will be grouped by rising grade and will participate in either clinic-style instruction or Sixes games — a fast-paced version of lacrosse that keeps everyone moving and involved.

  • Rising 2nd & 3rd Graders – Clinic-style instruction (3rd graders will graduate into Sixes play by the end)
  • Rising 4th–8th Graders – Sixes games with coaching + some friendly competition

🥍 What is Sixes?

Sixes is a newer, high-energy version of lacrosse with 6 players per team (including a goalie), non-stop transitions, and lots of touches and goals. Perfect for development and fun.

Sixes Format

Among the major differences players will find in Lacrosse Sixes are:

  • Games are played in 4, 8-minute quarters
  • Goalies initiate play after goals are scored; draws / faceoffs occur only at the start of each quarter
  • Field size is ~70×36 meters
  • Flow of the game emphasizes tempo, with fewer stoppages in play
  • Everyone plays both sides of the field (defense/offensive); substitutions are made on the fly
Rosters are comprised of 12 players, which leads to more playing time and more touches on the ball
